The Joseph Builders team
Meet the people that work our systems.
Richard and Linda are our fearless leaders, both come from building families so are well versed in builders speak. Richard is a Master Builder, an accolade that isn't given out lightly, and a Licensed Building Practitioner (Carpentry), which ensues that all work is done to a high standard. When he isn't in the office you can generally find him with a fishing rod in his hand.
Linda is hands on as well, handling accounts, payroll and media for Joseph Builders Ltd.
They have four amazing daughters and four grandchildren, and they live in rural Mid Canterbury.
Tristan is our Project Manager. He is a qualfied carpenter and LBP with many years experience in the industry.Carolyn (also known as Caz) is our Projects Co-Ordinator. She liaises with the PM, QS's, clients, subs and other staff to co-ordinate all aspects of job requirements. Caz is also our magical webmaster.
Once you have contacted Joseph Builders with an enquiry, Tristan or Caz will follow up with you to arrange a site visit to assess the job. They will then manage the job from start to finish to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Both are based at our Mid Canterbury office.
Victoria is our lead Quantiy Surveyor. It's Vic's job to price jobs and keep all the construction costs in check. Genesis is our construction Quantity Surveyor, he works with our teams to make sure that the deliveries to site are correct and on time. They both have a great relationship with local suppliers to give Cantabrians the best job at the best price. Both are based at our Christchurch office.
Rae works in our accounts department, and she is usually your first point of contact when you ring Joseph Builders. Rae also deals with most of our health and safety, and assists both Caz & Richard in their job roles.
Grant, Nathan, Chris and Ashley head up our teams as Foremen, and they are joined on site by Carpenters Luke, Blair, Ben and Tobias, and our Apprentices Happy and Hamish.
Their work can include everything from new house builds and new classrooms, to extensions, renovations, insurance repairs and rural farm sheds.
Their current work includes a bespoke home and loft, rest home renovations, a fire station extension and extensive refurbishment after a house fire.
Joseph Builders Ltd proudly sponsors the NCTC School in Fiji. Since 2002 Richard, Linda and other staff members have built new classrooms and also sent new and second hand materials and items to the school, including bifold doors, furniture donated from Canterbury schools, bike helmets and other resources generously donated from our local and wider community.
Last year some of our staff helped lay a concrete driveway to assist with access in an area that becomes impassable to vehicles after rain.
Joseph Builders Ltd are also proud to be a yearly sponsor of Ashburton Christmas in the Park. This event is held in the Ashburton Domain and is a highlight of the Ashburton Christmas celebrations.
2018 was a great show, with lots of local talent showcasing what was a great night out.
